Steve Hawkings has now joined the ranks of the south avon club committee, after several years of contributions to club events and helping introduce the sport to new members.

As of the last committee meeting held in December. It has been decided that during any trip being run by the club on a river greater than Grade 2, only white water (ww) specification kayaks are to be used.

This includes both club boats being hired and personal boats being used. WW specification boats are those that have full foot plates and or foam foot rest. Not the adjustable pegs or ladder foot rests.
